5 min readMalta Healthcare, which is the beating heart of Malta’s health department, has further expanded to the island of Gozo and, with it, the demand for a large cold-store facility was requested.
Refpro has been entrusted with the Malta Healthcare project to provide a sizable quantity of cold rooms, allowing healthcare operations to work efficiently. The products, whether fresh or frozen, are kept well preserved inside cold rooms designed and built with Incold’s GS112 Industrial panel system. The GS112 panelling allows for full control over dimensions and sizes, enabling cold rooms to be made-to-measure, while the rooms are powered by a high-quality centralized system that allows efficient cooling of each room through a single unit.
The centralized units, armed with Bitzer compressors, operate at high efficiency to provide adequate cooling to all rooms within the project. Additionally, a wide range of hinged, sliding, and fabric rapid doors are installed throughout the project to allow easy access for workers, while providing a strong barrier to maintain temperatures and avoid cooling losses.
